Fantastical is awesome
Yeah well it’s not that exciting but I’m going to talk about calendars on the Mac. As you probably know, iCal on the Mac is pretty damn useless. If you’re used to using Google Calendar which immediately knows what you mean when you type something in, and then puts it in the right place, iCal seem positively neolithic.
Fantastical is a cool drop down menu thing for the Mac that hides out of the way when you don’t need it, but then appears and shows you everything you need to know that’s coming up when you do need it.
Not only that, it opens a box and you simply type in what you are going to do in English (just like in Google Calendar) and it pops it straight into iCal without you having to open the damn thing and spend far too much time clicking stupid buttons.
So, it helps you get things into iCal, and lets you see what’s coming up without ever having to open up iCal. Which is good news.
